President Donald Trump on Friday took credit for winning the bid to host the 2026 World Cup along with Canada and Mexico, writing online that he “worked hard on this, along with a Great Team of talented people.”

“Thank you for all of the compliments on getting the World Cup to come to the U.S.A., Mexico and Canada. I worked hard on this, along with a Great Team of talented people," the president wrote. “We never fail, and it will be a great World Cup! A special thanks to Bob Kraft for excellent advice.”

It remains unclear what advice Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots and Revolution, gave to Trump.

Left out of his tweet, however, is any mention of his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who reportedly has been telling people he played a large role in securing the United States’ hosting of the World Cup.

This will be the first time the U.S. hosts the World Cup since 1994.
