White House won’t comment on ‘Rudy Giuliani’s love life’

The White House on Thursday refused to comment on whether Rudy Giuliani has become too much of a “distraction” to serve as President Donald Trump’s lawyer.

“Not today or tomorrow or at any point ever going to comment on Rudy Giuliani’s love life,” press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during Thursday’s press briefing. “I will be glad to leave that to you and the reporter that spoke with him.”

Giuliani, in an interview with the Daily Mail on Thursday, raved about his new relationship with Jennifer LeBlanc, a Louisiana fundraiser with whom he has been seen several times, including once at the White House. LeBlanc at the time denied the relationship to the Mail.

Judith Nathan, Giuliani’s third wife, filed for divorce on April 4 and accused him of having an affair. Giuliani denied that and doubled down on his assertion that he had not cheated on his wife.

“There was no adultery and hasn’t been,” he said in the Mail interview. “I don’t even know if it matters, because adultery is no longer grounds for divorce in New York. So I feel pretty great and I would never compromise a married woman.”
